In our revised Constitutions, number 31 D reads: “Consious that the earth is a precious gift of God and increasingly aware of its fragility, we treat the environment with reverence and respect. We seek opportunities to deepen our understanding of ecological issues and to promote care for the environment and its healing to ensure the future sustainability of the planet.
With his Encyclical “Laudato Si”, Pope Francis gives us a good opportunity to do so!!
