Currently, I am the provincial of Ireland. I have worked in Nzhelele, South Africa. I also taught in Ireland, including at an MSC secondary school.
I have attended two previous General Chapters, including one in the Philippines as well as the extraordinary Chapter held in Rome.
I would like to know that the work of our Sisters would be continued, possibly by international communities of FDNSC.

Actuellement, je suis Provinciale d’Irlande. J’ai travaillé à Nzhelele, en Afrique du Sud. J’ai également enseigné en Irlande, y compris dans une école secondaire MSC.
J’ai assisté aux deux précédents Chapitres généraux, un aux Philippines ainsi qu’au Chapitre extraordinaire qui s’est tenu à Rome.
J’aimerais savoir si le travail de nos Sœurs pourrait être poursuivi, peut-être par des communautés internationales FNDSC

Good morning, Sisters! I have the Senegalese nationality. I am at the service of the African Province of Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. Thank you to my Sisters of the Province who have allowed me to participate in this great event of our Congregation.
This will be the third General Chapter in which I am participating.May the Lord open our hearts to this time of grace and may Mary, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, accompany us.

Je suis de nationalité Sénégalaise, au service de la province d’Afrique des Filles de Notre Dame du Sacré-Cœur. Merci à mes Sœurs de la Province qui m’ont donné l’occasion de participer à ce grand événement de notre Congrégation.
Ce sera le troisième chapitre Général auquel je participe.Que le Seigneur ouvre nos Cœurs à ce temps de grâce et que Marie Notre Dame du Sacré-Cœur, nous accompagne.

Hello, I feel privileged to be attending our General Chapter in March. This will be my 3rd General Chapter. For the past 6 years, I have been a member of the Provincial Council. My main area of Ministry has been educational leadership, both in Australia and Overseas. I have just begun my first term as Provincial Leader of the Australian Province.My hope for the General Chapter is that together we listen deeply to God’s Spirit in our Congregation, our World and our Church. I pray we have the courage to make decisions that really respond to the world’s poor. I hope that our actions that follow on from our Chapter will strongly identify all FDNSC’s as Missionaries of Hope in a New World Emerging.

Bonjour, je me sens privilégiée d’assister à notre Chapitre général en mars. Ce sera mon 3ème Chapitre Général. Au cours des six dernières années, j’ai été membre du Conseil provincial. Mon principal domaine de ministère a été la formation au leadership (à la responsabilité), tant en Australie qu’à l’étranger. Je viens de commencer mon premier mandat en tant que Provinciale de la Province australienne.Mon espérance pour le Chapitre général est qu’ensemble nous écoutions profondément l’Esprit de Dieu dans notre Congrégation, notre Monde et notre Église. Je prie pour que nous ayons le courage de prendre des décisions qui répondent vraiment au monde des pauvres. J’espère que nos actions, qui découleront de notre Chapitre, identifieront fortement toutes les FNDSC comme Missionnaires de l’Espérance dans un nouveau monde émergeant.

Hello. I am from the Australian Province. Presently, I am the Province Secretary and a member of the Provincial Council. Previously, I spent many years teaching in Secondary Schools. This is the first time I will attend a General Chapter, and I am feeling excited to be with so many of our Sisters from around the world.I hope, during this time of Chapter, we experience the joy of being an international family and that we are open to God’s spirit as we are called to respond to the needs of our time.

Auparavant, j’ai passé de nombreuses années à enseigner dans les écoles secondaires. C’est la première fois que j’assiste à un Chapitre général, et je suis enthousiasmée par le fait d’être avec autant de nos Sœurs du monde entier.J’espère, que durant ce Chapitre, nous expérimentions la joie d’être une famille internationale et que nous soyons ouvertes à l’Esprit de Dieu, car nous sommes appelées à répondre aux besoins de notre temps.

Hi everybody. I am from the Philippine Region. At the moment, I work and live in Rome as part of our General Council. I have been here for almost eight years now.
The coming 20th General Chapter is the third for me. The first one I attended was held in 2011 in the Philippines and I was one of the secretaries. The second was the 2014 General Chapter in Nemi, Italy.
What is my wish for this Chapter? Well…that it may be a Pentecost experience for the whole Congregation. May we experience a miracle of the ears and hear the Lord, the world and each other more clearly. May we also experience a miracle of the lips that we may proclaim God’s love with our words, our works and our lives more effectively. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart…pray for us!

Bonjour à tout le monde. Je suis de la Région des Philippines. En ce moment, je travaille et vis à Rome faisant partie de notre Conseil général. Je suis ici depuis presque huit ans maintenant.
Le 20e Chapitre général à venir est le troisième pour moi. Le premier, où j’étais participante, a eu lieu en 2011 aux Philippines, j’étais l’une des secrétaires. Le deuxième a été le Chapitre général de 2014 à Nemi, en Italie.
Quel est mon souhait pour ce Chapitre ? Eh bien… que ce soit une expérience de Pentecôte pour toute la Congrégation. Puissions-nous faire l’expérience d’un miracle pour nos oreilles et entendre le Seigneur, le monde, les unes et les autres plus clairement. Puissions-nous aussi faire l’expérience d’un miracle pour nos lèvres et proclamer plus efficacement l’amour de Dieu avec nos paroles, nos œuvres et nos vies. Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur… priez pour nous !

I am from the Indonesian Province. I am one of the Indonesian Provincial Council Members and the Head of “Asti Dharma” Educational Foundation in Java. This is my first time attending a General Chapter.
I hope that the General Chapter will give new spirit to the congregation in response to the missionary needs of the world.

Je suis de la Province indonésienne. Je fais partie du Conseil provincial indonésien et je suis à la tête de la Fondation éducative “Asti Dharma” à Java. C’est la première fois que je participe à un chapitre général.
J’espère que le Chapitre général donnera un nouvel esprit à la congrégation en réponse aux besoins missionnaires du monde.

I am the Congregational Leader. “It is the responsibility of the congregational leader with her council to prepare the general chapter.” (FDNSC Constitutions 204)
In 2011, our 19th General Chapter was held in the Philippines. I was involved in the logistical preparations. It was also my first time to be a chapter delegate. This time, it is different; I, with the council, am fully responsible for the planning and preparations of our 20th General Chapter. At the outset, it seemed like a daunting task. To help me cope, I began to see it as a “process”, taking one step at a time. Since then, this experience of preparing for the Chapter has been a learning and transformative experience.
What does this 2020 General Chapter mean for me? I see this Chapter as an expression of God’s love and care for our Congregation, so that we may be one…together fulfilling the reason for our existence…May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved!

En 2011, notre 19e Chapitre général s’est tenu aux Philippines. J’ai participé aux préparatifs logistiques. C’était aussi la première fois que j’étais déléguée à un chapitre. Cette fois, c’est différent ; avec le Conseil, je suis entièrement responsable de la planification et des préparatifs de notre 20e Chapitre général. Au début, cela semblait être une tâche intimidante. Pour m’aider à faire face, j’ai commencé à le voir comme un « processus », en prenant une étape à la fois. Depuis lors, cette expérience de préparation au Chapitre a été une expérience d’apprentissage et de transformation.
Qu’est-ce que ce Chapitre Général 2020 signifie pour moi ? Je vois ce Chapitre comme une expression de l’amour et de l’attention de Dieu pour notre Congrégation, afin que nous puissions être un… en accomplissant, ensemble, la raison d’être de notre existence… Aimé soit partout le Sacré-Cœur de Jésus !

I come from Manus Island, in Papua New Guinea.
I have been living in Rome for the past 3 years as the General Secretary.
As for the Chapter, this will be my third time to attend the General Chapter.
I wish all the participants many blessings and look forward to meeting each one. May the Chapter be a fruitful and enriching time for us all.

Je viens de l’île de Manus, en Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée. Je vis à Rome depuis 3 ans en tant que Secrétaire générale.
Quant au Chapitre, ce sera ma troisième participation au Chapitre général.
Je souhaite à tous les participantes de nombreuses bénédictions et j’ai hâte de rencontrer chacune d’elles. Que le Chapitre soit un moment fructueux et enrichissant pour nous tous.

I am the youngest of our Italian Community of which, at the moment, I am the superior. I have participated in five General Chapters.
My wish for this Chapter is that it may be a new and deeply spiritual experience for all the members of our Congregation.

I am from the Province of Kiribati. I work in one of our high schools as a Principal. This is my fifth year that I have been on the job in this school.
This is my first time to attend the General Chapter. I am looking forward to meeting delegates from other countries and looking forward to a new experience and meeting different people from other places. Wishing us all the best.

Il y a une grande sagesse cachée dans le vieux clocher appelant les gens d’origines très différentes loin de leurs maisons pour former un corps en Jésus-Christ. C’est précisément en transcendant les nombreuses différences individuelles que nous pouvons devenir témoins de Dieu qui permet à sa lumière de briller sur les pauvres et les riches, sur les personnes en bonne santé et les malades. Mais c’est aussi dans cette rencontre sur le chemin vers Dieu que nous prenons conscience des besoins de notre prochain et que nous commençons à guérir les blessures de chacun. (H.Nouwen).
