Today, we celebrated the birthday of Sr Angelina. Sr Marie Solange, our Moderator, invited her to light the Chapter Candle. While Sr Angeline did so, we prayed for her and for the Indonesian Province she is leading.

 

Before starting our work, we spent 15 minutes in silent prayer, remembering the sisters with us in the Chapter Room and all our sisters around the world reaching out to them with our love as Jesus reaches out to each of us.

 

Then we continued the work we had started yesterday. Today we concentrated on the question, “What matters need to be worked on by the General Leadership Team.”

 

 

After a morning of hard work, we had a nice lunch with a special dessert to celebrate with Sr Angelina.

 

 

 

In the afternoon, we evaluated our Intercontinental Meetings (APA – Africa/Brazil – Europe).

 

 

 

After the break, we continued the work of the morning.

 

The Eucharist was prepared by our Kiribati Sisters. As usual, the symbolic decoration was adapted to their culture. Father Richard Suresh, assistant secretary at the MSC Generalate, presided at the Mass. Sr Maiango crowned him with the shell and gave him a salusalu (garland).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sr Kateia said that they are people who love to sing and that is what we have experienced. The singing was beautiful.

 

 

 

 

Aujourd’hui, nous avons célébré l’anniversaire de Sr Angelina. Sr Marie Solange, notre modératrice, l’a invitée à allumer le cierge du chapitre ; nous avons prié pour la Province d’Indonésie, dont elle est la Supérieure provinciale.

Avant de commencer notre travail, nous avons passé 15 minutes en prière silencieuse, en pensant aux sœurs qui sont avec nous dans la salle du chapitre et à toutes nos sœurs dans le monde entier, en leur offrant notre amour comme Jésus l’offre à chacune de nous.

 

Puis, nous avons poursuivi le travail que nous avions commencé hier. Aujourd’hui, nous nous sommes concentrées sur la question suivante : Quelles sont les sujets sur lesquels l’équipe du Généralat doit travailler ?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Après une matinée de dur labeur, nous avons eu un bon déjeuner avec un dessert spécial pour fêter Sr Angelina.

Durant l’après-midi, nous avons évalué nos Conférences intercontinentales (APA – Afrique/Brésil – Europe).

Après la pause, nous avons continué le travail commencé en matinée.

 

 

L’Eucharistie a été préparée par nos sœurs de Kiribati. Comme d’habitude, la décoration symbolique était adaptée à leur culture. Le Père Richard Suresh, secrétaire adjoint à la Maison Généralice des MSC, a présidé la messe. Sr Maiango l’a couronné avec des coquillages et lui a donné un salusalu (guirlande).
